I fell in love with this farm just as quick as I did the rugged country boy who’s called it home his whole life. His family settled this land back in 1874, and for eight generations, it’s been more than just a place—it’s been a way of life.

For the past twenty-three years, I’ve raised our eleven kids right here, where the dirt tells stories, the front porch is a gathering place, and the simple things matter most. Together, we’ve built a life that embraces the slow, the sweet, and the sacred beauty of country living.

I can’t imagine life anywhere else but on this little patch of heaven we proudly call home—and I’m so excited to share it with y’all. So come on out, breathe in the fresh air, and experience the magic of The Farmyard.

The Story behind

The Farmyard’s roots run deep, startin’ with a rickety old shack that had seen better days—but oh, the stories it could tell! With ties back to the Fort Worth Stockyards, this little building was brought here in the 1940s by my husband’s great-granddaddy, a seasoned cattle broker. For years, it served as his office, the walls echoing with the deals and dreams of a life spent in the cattle business.

When he finally hung up his spurs, the shack sat quiet and forgotten—until we decided it was time to breathe new life into it. With a little elbow grease and a lot of love, we turned it into a cozy farmhouse-style studio. That project sparked a bigger dream, and just like that, The Farmyard was born—a place where the unhurried charm of rural Texas life comes alive.

Here, kids can run free, families can soak in the simple joys of farm livin’, and folks can slow down and reconnect with the beauty of wide-open spaces.
